Scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast, biscut & gravy, pancakes, and coffee or juice. At least the diner down the road has this listed as the Hearty Man's Breakfast.

pancakes!. . Buttermilk Pancakes. . 1 cup all-purpose flour. 2 teaspoons sugar. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 cup buttermilk. 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted. 1 egg, lightly beaten. . In a mixing bowl, stir together the dry ingredients. Make a well in the center and add the remaining ingredients. Stir, starting at the center and gradually mixing in the dry ingredients to make a smooth batter. Cover the bowl and let it stand at room temperature for 1 hour, or overnight in the refrigerator.. . Heat a heavy skillet or griddle and grease it lightly. Transfer the batter to a measuring cup or pitcher with a pouring lip, or use a ladle, and pour the batter into the skillet to make 6- to 7-inch pancakes, cooking only as many at one time as you have room for.. . Cook the pancakes until bubbles cover their surface, about 1 minute, then turn them with a wide spatula and cook for 1 minute more.. . Makes 12 to 16 pancakes.. . add a little of this homemade syrup!. . 3 c Water. 3 c Granulated sugar. 3 c Brown sugar. 1 c Corn syrup. 1 tb Lemon juice. 1 tb Vanilla. 1 tb Maple flavoring. . Combine first 4 ingredients in large saucepan.. Stir on medium high until it boils. Add lemon. juice, vanilla and maple flavoring. Stir. Fill hot. sterilized bottles to within 1/4 inch of top.. Seal. . . Makes 3-1/2 pints.. . MMMMM. . dont forget the hashbrowns! . . Ingredients. • Vegetable spray. • 4 cups hashbrowns (fresh, not frozen). • 1 teaspoon Season All season salt. • 1/2 cup fajita seasoning. • 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, shredded. • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded. • 2 eggs, beaten. • 1 cup onion, chopped. • 2 tablespoons black olives, chopped. • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can broccoli and cheese soup. • 3 tablespoons light sour cream . . Preparation. Preheat oven to 400° F. Spray a 9-1/2” (deep dish) glass pie dish with vegetable spray. Set aside.. . Combine hashbrowns, season salt, fajita seasoning, Swiss cheese, Parmesan cheese, eggs, onion, black olives, broccoli and cheese soup and sour cream. Mix well.. . Spoon mixture into pie dish.. . Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown. . . and finally some fresh smoothies!. . 1/2 banana cut into chunks. 1/8 tspn vanilla. 1/2 cup cold milk or soy milk or skim milk. 1 tblspn strawberry syrup. 2 tblspn wheat germ. 1/2 cup ice cubes . 1. Put everything in a blender. . . 2. Blend until smooth. . . 3. Pour into a tall glass and drink!. . this is what i call a hearty breakfast! try it!

to me a hearty breakfast is the "full english" - its cos i am english i suppose :-). . fried eggs. grilled bacon. grilled sausages. baked beans. fried mushrooms. grilled tomatoes. toast and butter. cup of tea. orange juice. . you can make this a little more healthy by . poaching the eggs and grilling the mushrooms - but hey its not something you should be eating everyday!!!

A hot cooked meal containing protein, a little fat, whole grains, maybe some fruit, you know like a good well rounded healthy breakfast, eg, not a bowl of Lucky Charms :)
