How can I initiate a conversation with someone using instant messaging?

In order to IM (instant message)/ PM (Personal Message) someone, you need to have a chat software loaded (eg this site messenger). IM-ing someone is then as easy as double-clicking an ID from the various this site rooms or anyone in your contacts...However, one note of caution, u must know how to get a conversation flowing in order to have a good IM conversation. ENJOY!!

You have to have instant messenger first. Try yahoo messenger or AIM. Type in either one of those into the search bar and the website should pop up. Download it onto your computer , then if there is anyone you know that has those two or whichever instant messenger you prefer. You can enter their email address and it will show if they are online or not. If they are click on their name and an IM will pop up. Then just type your message.

Click on his name, and click send IM. But this can only work if the person enable IM. If he disable IM, no way you can IM him.

Download an instant messaging program that you know the someone in question uses. Then add them as a contact. When they are online, most IM programs will put them to the top of the listing, and show an indicator icon that has a green colour or other positive indication.. . While they are online, right click over top of their contact line, and choose whatever menu item is the closest analogue to "Send Message." Type your message, and then click whatever button is closest to being labeled "Send."

hi ... download any messenger..like yahoo, or rediff or msn... and then create an id... then add id of ppl u want to im... and then click on their names and send ur im... happy im-ing
