A psychologist has a degree in psychology, as opposed to a therapist or counselor who MAY have a psychology degree, or may have some other type of degree.. . Therapy can be conducted by psychiatrists, psycholoists, social workers, certain types of nurses, ministers, rabbis, and in some cases, people with almost no education or training at all.
