As a parent, you are responsible for your child until 18.. . The only way you may be able to get out of it would be to file charges against the minor for identity theft.

Does your child not have his or her own SS#? He or she needs to get a job and start being responsible for their own personal items. You could pay the bill and make your child pays you back and just to teach them a lesson tack on interest!

Until a minor becomes adult aged, parents are usually responsible for ALL of a child's actions. . . If my child did that I would have them get a job and pay me back not to mention a harsh punishment.

Legal responsibility???? There is nothing about legality here (ok there may be legal issues but we have to look them over) it is all about morality. . . I would hate a son who'd LEGALLY force me to pay his bills, I'd throw him out!!!
