The military is the single most important industry to the security of any country, it is tightly regulated by the U.S. to prevent leakage of secrets, and also to make sure that it runs effectively. In nearly any other country it would be a state run industry.

In many cases , the suppliers of millitary hardware are dealing in specializes equiptment , and there is simply not enough market for the goods to make two commanies viable. . Keep in mind to , sales overseas ( in many cases of weapons and tech. ) are severly restricted , further preventing market forces from acting.
