THe ppl back then werent animal rights activists so thaey didnt mind. They thought that was good. Ppl dont do that anymore b/c I dont remember God specifically asking us to kill animals.

Have you ever heard of the New Testament, the other half of the Bible? God in not evil. But before we had Jesus Christ there was only forgiveness threw sacrifices. Now God sacrificed his own son that we may live. Though you may think God is evil for doing this. God is all knowing and just. God is ,Jesus ,and the holy spirit."God in three persons." Only someone without sin could save us. Only God is without sin. We are born into sin. Only threw him can we be saved. Read more. Life is guided by the choices we make. We got no one to blame but ourselves, for what evil there is in this world.People create evil. The world is evil not God. Hopefully this helps you find the right path.

The Bible is really a story of two fairly different gods, although have been fused together to form modern Christianity. The Old Testament God is a very wrathful, jealous god. The New Testament God is (supposedly) a very loving, forgiving God. It all depends on which stories you read and what your state of mind is as you read them.

The burning of animals for sacrifice was just to forgive our sins, in the old testament. But after Jesus died for are sins in the new testament that was not needed any more because Jesus sacrifice of himself made it possible for God to forgive are sins without having to kill any animals.. But you could think of it this way too, God created the heaven's and the earth and every living thing including animals. He created them he can do any thing he wanted with them, or he created them with the purpose of us sacrificing them for are sins.

Yeah, the Old Testament God is pretty horrible, but at least he didn't threaten to burn and torture us in Hell forever if we don't believe in him or his evil spawn!
