The camera has one lens, and flattens out your face. The eyes have two lenses spread out, and you see the person in 3D.

well really it does add a little weight because the way you are moving on the camer then the lense then the fact that really the lighting in the room helps to. see that is why the stars are like so skinny that way no one can say they are fat on camera!!!ha ha ha LOL

it really does!! when you look at the magazines and see a girl that looks normal maybe a size 8 and the caption says she is a size 4, it really makes you believe the camera puts on some weight.

It doesn't really. The camera captures us exactly like we look. The ten pounds is something we like to say to make ourselves feel better when we see ourselves on TV the way other people see us in real life.

Because cameras can only capture two dimensional images where the eye sees in 3 dimensions. If you used a process that took a picture of you in 3 dimensions, you wouldn't look heavier.

Have you got it set on WIDEVIEW?

Because the lens distorts the picture slightly. I'm sure you aren't fat.
