I am 5 months pregnant.. My wife and I chose a childhood friend that we knew would respect our wishes.. Plus how many men (being honest now) would turn down a chance to have 2 women for a week with all for his needs cartered to.. NOT MANY!! I know three other couples at this time that are either pregnent or trying to conceive.

well for lesbian couples that may happen more often because all they need is the sperm. But for homosexuals it may be a bit more difficult to find a female friend to carry their child and just give it away to them.

I have had a Gay couple that wanted a baby bad, so one of them slept with our good friend. She is now living in the house with them until the baby is born. I personally believe it is a beautiful thing. Some agree and some dont agree but I have the feeling of to each its own and if you are happy then I am happy. To answer your question I have heard of this happening a whole lot.

It is more common than most people think. It is more comforting for a gay couple to know that a close friend is to be the birth mother or sperm donor of their future child. It's much like a straight infertile couple finding a close friend or relative to be the surrogate mother
