How can one pursue a career as an undercover police officer?

You have to go to college and obtain a degree in a policing field first. Then you have to be hired and go through training. Then you have to be on the force for a few years, perhaps several years obtaining basic experience. Not sure the steps from there, I'm still in college.

I think its a very cool job! But you need to get your education to become a law enforcement officer before you can even get on with the dept. Then, I would think you have to serve in other positions before being just assigned an "undercover" position. I don't know about how quickly you could become undercover, though. I guess it would depend on you, your contacts, and the department in which you would like to work.. . Good luck! It is a very admirable job!

Get your a@@ busted. Then, in order to save your a@@ and stay out of jail, you make a deal with the cops and drop a dime (old price of pay-phone call) on your friends.
