firefox. . tabbed browsing and fewer viruses. it is a pain with the plug-ins, but still worth it.

Started using firefox, never looked back to IE. Love to be able to open different tabs instead of 4 windows...that's annoying. Netscape is good for the same features too.. I think I have downloaded only 1 plugin since i started using this...it did something that I didn't like (I can't remember what) so I stopped downloading...hasnt really affected anything i do, see or receive online.. . Good luck.

Why don't you try Opera, it's very good and very fast, besides, you can clear out all your navigations in one touch

Firefox is much better. You don't have to DL plugins if you don't want to. They add features if you want to. I don't use any plug ins.

I prefer Mozilla Firefox because it is WAY better than IE in all aspects.. . Plugins are required to run flash objects, java applets and videos etc...Internet Explorer has those plugins installed as well, they just happen to be pre-installed with windows. There really isn't a way around it.. . If you want to avoid downloading the plugins on demand, you can download the software seperately and install them on your own so you don't get the plugin message later.. . This is how you can do that:. . 1) Download and install firefox (source 1). 2) Download and install JRE (source 2). 3) Download and install Flash (source 3). 4) Download and install Quicktime (source 4). . I hate quicktime, but I have it installed anyway. Do that and you should be able to avoid most plugin requests.
