How can I remove Internet Explorer and replace it with Mozilla Firefox as my primary browser?

Dont delete it, even though IE sucks, keep it because some pages can be viewed in IE only. When you have Firefox installed, go to start> Set program access and details, click Custom, then "use my current browser". Make sure when firefox first loads, you set it as your default.

Just install Your mozilla browser and make it your default.. . as has been already suggested, some pages can be best viewed only through IE.. . IE cannot be deleted as its components are integrated with the OS and are extensively used by XP.. . moreover its protected by the File protection service. If you delete files relevant to IE you might end-up crashing your system.. . Cheeers

Don't delete IE, I don't think you can anyways, because it is required for a lot of Microsoft web pages.

Well inorder to do this you should first INSTALL mozilla and then automatically or manually you can remove internet explorer but i would suggest that you should keep internet explorer but if you like mozilla you can install it but after installing it please make sure that it is working properly!!!!

Select 'start' then 'Set Program Access and Defaults' then 'Custom' and select the non-Microsoft program.. . You can't delete Internet Explorer. It's integrated into the OS. The uninstaller just deletes the desktop icon and start menu icon.. . Mozilla also has a 'make me the default browser' option. In mozilla click tools, Options, General, and select the checkBox and also click 'Check Now'.

YOu cannot delete IE directly because there is no uninstaller in it. Just install Mozilla and when you asking about the default browser at first run of Mozilla.. IE 7 is similiar (copy) to Mozilla. But it still suck. I cannot post Yahoo! Answer when I using IE 7 and it need SP2!

You dont need to delete IE, you will need it to go to http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ and download firefox. Just go to that site and follow the instructions, I would keep the IE just for a back up and in case you dont like mozilla
