What do the inscriptions on a gold and diamond ring mean?

It tells you where and when the ring was made and the quality of the materials used. These are called "hallmarks". You can get a jeweler or antiques dealer who specializes in jewelry to read the hallmarks for you (usually for free so long as there is no appraisal involved) or you can get a book on gold hallmarks from a library.

If you mean the hallmark, its all related to the gold - where it was made, what carat it is, etc etc.
