Many people go into news broadcasting to try to change the world to make it a better place. By definition, liberals want change and conservatives don't.

The media is there to inform and educate people with unbiased news. That's the theory. Then I watch Fox and their conservative biased horse-blinder pick and choose news and my theory falls apart.

The media is not liberal, they are all dumb conservatives. What you are really asking is why do they make Bush look bad. That is because he is the dumbest world leader ever.

I think "liberal" is a very subjetive term. After all, who judges the media and by which criteria?. . If liberalism describes the way media portrays sex and violence, I think everyone is free to say what he feels for as long as he has the guts to stand by his opinion. We, in turn, should not be held captive by the media. The audiences are empowered to choose what to watch and what to hear and to react whenever we feel offended or uneasy with what the media has presented. . . However, in terms of other issues such as politics and those philosophies that go against the establishment (Althusser's ideological state apparatus), media is by no means liberal. Many things do not reach the broader audiences and the myth that media is impartial has long been discredited.

I don't think it is, when Clinton was president they were always reporting the bad stuff, now that Bush is president same thing. I think they just want sponsors and the way to get them is to get good ratings or sell papers and magazines.
