Ask any realtor. This information is readily available to them. The title or deed for the house lists all of the previous owners, what improvements were made (such as when structures on the land were built), and dated records of how much it was sold for. I believe there is a way to obtain this information from your county's courthouse as well.

Realtors are good source. If you don't want to bother them, go to county tax office which handles property tax. They have records since every time the house sells, the new property tax goes into effect.
