ようこそ - youkoso - welcome. . The "you" is pronounced like "yo" but with a longer "o" sound - ideally, the "you" and "koso" should be the same length.. . and for future reference 今日は - konnichiwa - means "hello" or "good day," rather than welcome.

Don't know how it is spelled, but you pronounce the word 'welcome' as "con-ee-chi-wa" in Japanese.

Welcome in Japanese is Youkoso, you pronounced it as Yo-ko-so but you pronounced "Yo" with longer letter o.. . Good Morning in Japan is Ohayou gozaimasu, pronounced it as o-ha-yo goza-i-masu and all letter O will pronounced more longer. If this can spell in English, I think it will be Ohio.. . Good Afternoon should be "Konnichi wa" (pronounced as kon-eechi-wa).. . Good Evening is Konban wa.. . Goodbye is Sayounara/Sayonara. (Sayonara is not normally used when leaving one's own home unless one is leaving for a very long time.). . I wish my answer help you.. . I am a Filipino but I'm studying the Language of Japan which is Nihongo. We can be friends if you want.. . Just e-mail or IM me.. .
