Why is a #2 pencil still called that despite being the most popular?

because the #1 pencil is under the witness relocation program for turning states evidence over on the #2 pencil. #2's punishment is to be used and cloned for all eternity as the standard pencil to have.

#1 is frozen suspended in a cryogenic chamber at this time, and #2 is taking care of business at this moment. what will happen, remains to be seen when #1 is defrosted and comes to claim it's rightfull place. . . Man! what a write-off that will be!

it's the hardness of the graphite. Try using a #8 pencil sometimes... they grade from I believe 1 to 8 ...
