How can I obtain another Social Security number?

Go to the Social Security Office in your area for a replacement card.. . If you want a new number that's impossible and illegal . you facing 5-10 years in a 6x6 cell with a hairy beast that has not seen a real woman in 30 years. Why do you want another one? Do you want to change your old SSN? I don't think you can be issued another SSN.

Unless there's some overbearing reason why you want another - perhaps, your identity has been stolen in a very complicated matrix of events - I doubt that there is room to "wipe your slate clean".

It would be illegal.. . It would result in you getting a smaller SS payment than if you simply had one SS number.. . But if you are determined, visit your nearest SS office (llok it up in the phone book under Federal Government entries),and tell them you would like another SS number.

If you lose your Social Security card, contact your local office, they will issue another. You may have to provide your birth certificate, etc.

You can't gat another SS#, it's illegal.. . You can't get away from creditors by changing it either. You have heard talk that you can, but trust me...you will get caught and prosecuted. . . The feds are on to people doing this, and are looking for it. Don't try it.
