Jesus said "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." When he said this, everyone thought he meant he would actually rebuild their temple in three days by himself, when it took their team of workers years to build it in the first place. Jesus was referring to his body as the temple, though. When they crucified him (and destroyed his temple), he was raised from the dead three days later.

I think the temple that was destroyed, happened in 70AD. It still hasn't been rebuilt, one wall still exist. . As Jen said the temple Jesus referred to was His body, He was prophesying His own death.

when he said this he was referring to his body... when they crucified him(destroyed the temple) he rose up again in three days... he wasn't referring to the actual temple he was standing in at the time
