To kill a mockingbird by Harper Lee.. . It really opened my eyes to racism and prejudice present in the world.Because I come from a good school,my classmates and I used to shun those ones who came from not so good ones. After reading the book,I realised that brains don't really matter that much.I have friends from many schools now :). I'm being as honest as I can be....

"The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" by Joseph Murphy. Any of his books will change your whole attitude. . . It made me realize how important it is to maintain some control over our thoughts through positive thinking and the affect of visualization in your life. . . This is the kind of book you can read over and over and get something from it each time. I encourage you to read all of Joseph Murphy's books. They're awsome!

"Out on a Limb" by Shirley MacLaine.. . I first saw the TV miniseries based on this book when I was 18 and went to read it right away after it. That movie was one of the best and most interesting one ever. I could really relate to her search for the Truth and trying to understand her place in the universe. It was about her journey within. It was the catalyst that sent me searching and hungry to find out more about myself. I just could not get enough of it.. . Shirley is quite candid and humble about herself when she writes. She is also pragmatic and practical and questions a lot of things first before believing in something as truth.

There is a book called WALK TWO MOONS by Sharon Creech. It's a very sad book about a country girl find out about her mother's death, dealing with love, homesickness and hope. It's a really good book, makes you cry without realising it.

"How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. I didn't have very good social skills when I was a teenager, but this book really helped. It has good practical advice that anyone can apply. Thanks for reminding me!

I hate the book that changed my life. Because it changed my life.Heh, heh. Not to sound melodramatic. It got me out of a comfortable sphere of familiar existance and in short, turned my life upside down. . It was the fountainhead, by Ayn Rand. I do NOT recommend it to aybody who wants to live a normal life. It's too full of what Oscar Wilde would call, "strange, poisonous ideas".
