you have to have DVD codec and DVD decoding software installed.....or use a free program like the following to view DVD. otherwise Media Player will not play it without buying DVD software

Because the DVD needs some codecs that windows media didn't had build in. The codecs had some rights and microsoft did not buy. So, you need to install a third party software like:. - windvd. - powerdvd. and play your favorite dvd's on that software, or, after that you had installed you can view the dvd's on windows media.. . WMPlayer does not have any DVD codec. So it cannot read DVD unless you can find and install some codec. I do not like WinDVD. PowerDVD is the best software to play DVD. Installing it will give you the codec.. . By the way, why do you want to play DVD with WMPlayer? PowerDVD is much better.. . Of course you can save tags for a DVD title or chapter in WMPlayer but thats not enough. I use PowerDVD 6 and its better than PowerDVD 4.. . . Now its your choice!. Thanks.. . . . . . . --- ► λ ◄
