The credit bureaus offer a toll-free number that enables you to “opt-out” of having pre-approved credit offers sent to you for two years.. Call 1-888-5-OPTOUT.. . In addition, you can notify the three major credit bureaus that you do not want personal information about you shared for promotional purposes

What I do with ones who have a prepaid envelope is take the application and write no remove from mailing list", then take all the papers including the envelope it came in and put it in the prepaid envelope I got with it. Then I mail it back to them that way they have to pay postage on it. Just think if everyone did that it would really cost them and they would have 2nd thoughts about sending you junk.. Also found out about a site that will register you and a no mail list claims to cut back on your junk mail If you decide to apply online cost $5.00 however just fill out the information and the submit for mailing it in No Cost to You. Then you print out the filled out form to mail
