The coolest insects are the phasmids, stickbugs. They're sit-and-wait predators, inconspicuous, lethal. By far the coolest.. . Spiders are not insects.

preying mantis- have you watched one do its thing? their heads turn to watch their prey... they can fly (don't do much of it, though).... they'll let you pet them (on their back- wings)

Driver ants. They used to be called African Army Ants. There can be 10 to 20 million in a colony and animal either get out of the way of they are killed and eaten. Most get out of the way. They can even kill an elephant. Death usually occurs due to asphyxiation because the ants crawl into the mouth, nose, and lungs. They are all blind but lay down a chemical trail.

Spiders are soo cool but not insects. Stink Beetles??? DO you mean stink bugs??? I'd have to say... Megarhyssa wasps. They have cool ovipositors that they stick into dead trees where they lay their eggs in beetle larva.

cockroach.i know u hate it but they are the ones which survive almost any conditions and are the fittest by nature.
