They are the same, lol.. . The differences lie in Tablet PCs (which have a graphics-tablet note-taking touch screen), and normal laptops.. . HP do some good cheap laptops. If you wanna look the biz, get an Alienware Sentia.

some has to go with size and one has to do with capacity.

Not much difference anymore. Traditionally notebooks tend to be smaller, more compact, and lighter. But there are Ultra-light laptops now that are just like notebooks now (like Dell 700m). Notebooks sometimes miss out on some things like built-in optical drives(CD-Rom/DVD) and tend to be more expensive. Also battery life may not be as good as Laptops. Laptops are usually easier to upgrade and cheaper than Notebook computers.
