What is the significance of the dates at the end of Stephen King's novel 'Cell'?

Dates like that usually are the dates when he was writing the book, and the city is the location where he was writing it. . . I enjoyed this book more than some of his recent ones.

I posted the question on stephenking.com and will forward you the answer when I get one.. . 10 points please.. . . I really didn't care for the book. I actually love zombie themed stories, but I really didn't care for cell. All in all, I thought it was one of his worst novels.

I think that in between those years some of the greatest books ever written came out, and he is sad that he doesn't fall into that category.. ;)
