What is the meaning of the term 'common sense'?

Common sense is the ability to make a decision without requiring measurable thought, and that decision being the same as what anyone else would likey make. For example, if there is a pitcher and a glass on the table. It is common sense to pour the water in the glass and then drink from the glass.

Common sense is not running into the middle of a busy intersection...if you like the way your body is. . . Common sense tells me that if I treat you like crud, you will most likely return the favor.. . Common sense tells me that if I have a smart mouth, that I better learn how to run or climb fences real good.. . Common sense tells me that if I don't know how to swim, stay out of the deep end.. . What was the question again? LOL!
