How is it that some people perceive George W. Bush as appearing to be not very intelligent?

Perhaps it's to lure people into a false sense of security. . Either that or the people pulling his strings can't get his mouth to work as fast as their brains...

so you think he just "dumbed" his way all the way to the Whitehouse? I don't think that's possible. We can all find something "dumb" about anybody if we are looking for it just because of distaste for them as a person.

matter of opinon some people don't think he is. come on he has done some stupid stuff but we haven't had 1 terrosist attack on US soil scene then and at least he doesn't go around getting b*** jobs from his intern! *cough cough clinton*

Bush's SAT score of 1206 (old system) puts his IQ at 131. He is about as intelligent as a typical physician or lawyer, and is more intelligent than 98% of the general population.

The frequency and nature of his verbal mistakes suggest some kind of cognitive problem. Perhaps he has brain lesions from the aspartame in diet sodas.
