Don't - whatever you do - buy her something practical, like saucepans or a socket set. A pal of mine bought his wife an ironing board a couple of years back....and she threw it at him! . . Jewellery is tricky, too, as it can be personal. Take her shopping for a new dress, or a coat or boots...something like that. As long as she chooses, you can't go wrong....
