Explain the differences between being religious and being spiritual

In my camp. Being religious is doing things for God when people are looking. Being spritual is what I do for God when people are not looking.

Being religious is following some type of religious practice such as christianity,islam,Judaism,and hinduaism.Being spiritual is being intuned with your soul through meditation,prayer etc,without following a specific word for word religious belief.

Religion is what man does to try to reach God.. As you probably know, it is impossible for mankind to reach God in this way. This way is characterized by works done by man trying to reach God (good works, rituals, etc.). . . God had to reach man, because man cannot reach God.. . Being religious is trying to reach God. It doesn't work.. Being spiritual, on the contrary, is accepting that God has come to us (as Jesus Christ), and living our life according to His teachings.

Being spiritual means you are in touch with yourself (no not physically) and you are attuned to the things around you that you cannot hear see or feel. IT's having piece of mind in a crazy world. Being spiritual does not necessarily have anything to do with God. I am spiritual but I am also an atheist

simple but can get complicated - religious people chase and need religion and all that goes with it. Churches, other people, and the approval of all that hub-ub.. . spiritual people only need God and the closeness that he requires. the things that are of a spiritual nature. prayer, hearing God and his commands, not having to prove that he is real. truly being with God the way Abraham and Moses were.. . see - simple. but complicated if you do not know God. you will never really know spiritual truths without him.
