Why are questions in the Religion & Spirituality section answered?

If you never ask you never learn, if no-one answers there would be no point in asking, therefore you would never learn,. Some questions maybe ignorant but isn't this the point in any section of the this site question/answer pages to enlighten the ignorant, misinformed and people just willing to learn.. . AND you get points

Who is to say what is or isn't a dumb question. Even the most inane question can spark an interesting and useful debate ... especially on arcane or extremely subjective subjects.. . If you don't like a question then ignore it and move on.. . Peace out

In the hopes that some people (yourself apparently excluded) might actually care about the answers.. . But it's okay, Michael-- you aren't required to read them.

I would say just for the points in most cases. I tend to just ignore questions that I don't feel are searching for a real answer or just being blasphemous.
