Why do Catholic priests who engage in pedophilia only target male children?

I truly believe that some professions attract pedophiles and sex offenders in general. For example if you wanted to molest old people why not get a job at a retirement home. If you like children, a priest is a perfect job. The children would be more apt to trust you to.

Because it's been brought down through history that sleeping with women is a through-and-through sin. Thus, no women. Plus, it's a LOT harder to rape a guy than a boy.

Is this a question based in fact? I think there are many reasons you may believe this to be so. First, these are the cases we hear about. Second, altar servers used to be exclusively boys, so were more vulnerable. Last, pedophiles tend to look for employment where they can be close to their prey. There are other reasons, of course, but these are off the top of my head.

Sadly, they don't only prefer male children. Many a Catholic school girl has been abused by a Catholic priest...it's just so sad that either gender child ever has to be by someone with their particular kind of power.
