First of all: not all of us who are under 18 are dimwitted.. Second: IQ´s measure your intelligence, and philosophy is not only about intelligence, it´s also about talent and the innate ability to wonder.. Third: your question really does not contribute to the solution of such problem.. Fourth: because people are scared. Surprise someone, change a situation, ask a smart question, or just be your own complicated self, which does not fit into general standards, you scare them, because all their lives they tried to be like everyone else, and suddenly you tell them:¨It´s OK to think for a change, to ask questions no one can answer, to be complicated.¨. Fifth: agreed, most questions are really... let us not go there, but isn´t a true philosopher supposed to see even in that a great wisdom, preferably one which does not state that the world is losing more and more brain cells every day?

That's easy - because the vast majority of users of this site are adolescents who simply aren't terribly familiar with philosophy or its uses. One might also wonder why you asked rather than post such a question on your own?

Because to ask philosophical questions you need to have a philosophical mind capable of understanding philosophical answers.. . Or perhaps the majority of people asking questions in this category, posted in the wrong category. Or perhaps they don't know what philosophy is.. . I think by IQ standards a philosopher scores around 138-145. The average person's IQ is 80-130, with 130 being pretty intelligent.

Because my Dad doesn't know how to use the Internet for starters, and the other is because people have a lack of imagination.. My dad always knows how to ask the perfect questions to make me come up with my own answers - . Once...when I was BAWLING over a broken heart and he felt it was time for me to "get over him" he came into my room and asked to promise him that I would not cry at his funeral and said to me he never wanted to hurt me as much as this young man had done...."I looked up at him strangely - and I said I can promise you that".........it made sense to me how to put life into prospective.
