The best NATURAL answer to Diabetes is Bitter Melon.. . This vegetable is available in all Philipino markets. I think some Indian grocery shops also have this vegetable.. . Wash the vegetable and eat it raw - about half the vegetable per day and check your sugar level after about 4 days - you will see the difference. Of course I must warn you that the taste of it is very unpleasant. Once you know that it is good for you you will come to like it.. . I know a person who was injecting insulin daily stopped it after his wife started to crush the vegetable and made him to drink a half cup of this juice daily.. . Of course you have to have it raw. Boiling it or cooking it and eating it will have no results. . . If you get good results post it as a question in this section so that others will know the value of this vegetable.

Educate yourself on the "glycemic index." This is a system that helps one to make good food choices. Calories don't tell us jack about how something will effect our blood. Did you know, for instance, that white sugar is lower on the glycemic index, i.e. does not make your blood as sweet, as puffed rice? Yes, starch, which is composed of pure glucose breaks down into sugar faster than sucrose, which is a molecule fructose (very low on the index) and glucose, attached to one another........ . Also, explore safe and effective supplements (not patentable, and therefore not a penny spent on promoting them, despite clinical evidence weighing heavily in their favor) like Alpha Lipoic Acid, Bitter Melon, Psyllium or Glucomannan, and GTF chromium.....

I was an out of control diabetic, I took a few diabetic classes to learn as much as I can (the facts) and stuck to mainly veggies and meat, until I got use to watching what I ate, a diabetic can have anything they want, you just have to watch how much you have. Also writing everything down was a huge helper to me, write down you glucose levels through out the day as you test, food intake, exercise, ect...... everything counts to a diabetic. The real reward to me was watching my A1C level go down every 3 months I started out at 10.5 and am now down to 7.2 I still have a little ways to go to be at the normal range but with hard word I will get there and it all will be worth it. Hope this help alittle :)

Eliminate all sugar and white flour from all products. Eat lots of green vegetables. Balance protein, carb and veggies with each meal. You can eat fresh fruit except for bananas, and keep the potatoes to a small occasional amount. Eliminate pasta and white rice. These are methods without medications, and they can help significantly.
