Did you install the software that came with the camera? When all else fails read the instructions. If you dont have them go to the kodak website and look for support or download links. They will have free downloadable manual and drivers for your cam.

I also have a kodak camera. When everything is plugged in, turn on the camera and a window should pop up. If it doesn't, go to Kodak.com and download a program called easy share, it's free. It's not a great program, but it'll get the job done. Another way is to use your printer card port if you have one. I have an HP and it works almost better than the easy share program. Hope this works.. As a last resort, put your camera on the back step and take a rock to it. At least you will feel better.

Maybe you need to install a bundled software that came in with your camera for the cable connection to work. That is mostly the case for digital cameras.

Depends on the operating system. If it is XP, it should bring up a wizard when the camera is turned on.. . You can always click on my computer and find the new storage device, which will be your camera, that is unless your system needs to have it installed by the disc that you got with the camera.
