It wouldn't change it. Promiscuity exists regardless of marital status. If a person won't keep their promise of fidelity outside of marriage (courtship, engagement phases), what is to stop them while married?

marriage means commitment to one partner.. Some people feel bad about breaking the commitment they made.. So there's less chance of multiple partners.
