"Common sense" is based on your worldview. You can make rational, critical or logical decisions based on information you know about the world around you.. . Since we are not teaching our children (and haven't been for quite a while) about the world around them, it would appear that they, and our current generation of young/early adults, is sorely lacking in "common sense."
