tell him you understand you cant change his feelings for your friend but you dont want him to compromise you and your friends friendship with each other and let him be apart of the friendship as well but let him know that you trust him to do the right thing.

Tell your friend that you are positive that your boyfriend likes her and that you just wanted to ask if she likes him too. Whatever the answer is it doesn't matter but before you leave say "If anything ever does happen between you two I hope he does not fall in love with one of your friends" that way she will get paranoid.
