I have no idea at all! But I think it must have been something mysterious or fantastic(as in 'fantasy')like the Arabian Nights, since you pose us such arabesques!

Do not know what yours was but mine was the Narnia series from CS Lewis, especially The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe. Mainly because it opened my imagination and was exciting to read.

I am going to guess The Little House Series by Laura Ingles Wilder because it was filled with adventure and good tales. I loved it for that reason. Also for the reality of the family relationships.
