Why do people often provide answers with two points?

because they are not witty enough to come up with any other sort of answer. and they have really bad senses of humor and think that saying two points is funny.

They just care about the points and not about answering the question. You can report them for abuse because yahoo says that's point gaming. Some people have been suspended for that. It's a shame that they only care about points and don't even try to answer the question.

it is against the rules to answer in that way. the yahoo answers rules state under comunity guidelines: . 2.b.You may not post answers unless you are attempting to answer the question. Yahoo! reserves the right to remove answers that are clearly not attempts to answer the question.
