Best answer
If for example the tax rate is 5%, divide 20 by 1.05 and subtract from 20. 20/1.05=19.05 The tax is 20-19.05=.95 . You can modify this formula for use with any tax rate.

Multiply 20 times whatever the percent required. 20 x .06=$1.20. Comprende?

Depends on what the tax is. In FL, sales tax is 7%, or .07. Multiply that by 20 and you get 1.4. Multiply 1.07 by 20, and you'll have your dollar amount of 21.40. Does that make sense?. . I hope this helps.

Well here in Canada it would be 3.00. We have 15% tax in total so 20.00 * .15= 3.00. However I am not sure how much taxes are on things down there. I would guess its a similar procedure.

It depends on where you live. Every place has a different tax rate.
