Why does my computer freeze for 30 seconds when I right-click on my desktop?

Go to Start - Control Panel - Display - and click the 'Appearances' tab. Click the 'Effects' button and remove the checkmark next to 'Use the following transition effect for menus and tooltips'. Okay out and try again.

Right click on my computer and then click on advanced tab and then under perfoenmance click on settings and then under visual effects click adjust for best performance and then apply.......................try this out. i guess it'll work.

it is just the driver for your graphic card as i had the same problem and it was ATI. try to reinstall it or get an upgrade

i would guess a virus, or spyware/adware. you should get your comp scanned. and keep that firewall on!. . though i like the sound of mikeojc's idea.
