find somone else to take your phone and finish your contract. It is called an assumption of service.

find a place that your phone doesnt work, then call them up and tell that you moved there and your phone doesnt work. they will let you outa your contract then... but good luck finding an area that the phone doesnt work.

You can ask someone to take over the contract but there is a chance they will screw you up. Cell companies are notorious for forcing you to stick with it. I think you will have to wait a year :(
