Let it go on your credit record. When you need to get credit, just give an explanation.

You should have disputed the transaction with your credit card company before it went to collections. Now you have a black mark on your credit that will be really hard to remove.. You say you shouldn't have to pay for something that was non-delivery, but your bank (credit card company) paid for it and it's only fair that you pay them while the issue is being resolved. It's not worth throwing your credit score away over 100 dollars.

What type of agreement did you sign/receive when you started this program?. . Do you have any of the paperwork?. . You need to review it and see what your legal rights are?. . You can send a letter to the collection agency asking them to "validate" the debt, which means that by law they have 30 days to provide the original invoice/agreement to show that they have the legal right to collect this debt.. .
