identical come from one egg that split when fertilized and fraternal come from 2 separate eggs. Identical are together in one 1 sack and share a placenta fraternal are in separate and each have a placenta-same with triplets and quints.. That's why identical triplet and Quints are SO rare.

Identical twins are babies from one egg and one sperm. The egg splits and two babies are formed. They are more rare. May have one shared placenta (sack), two separate placentas, or two placentas fused into one. . Fraternal twins are babies that are from two sperm and two eggs. May have two separate placentas or two placentas fused into one.. . There is also another type of twin that comes from one split egg and two sperm, but that's another story altogether.

Identical twins are formed when one fertilized egg splits and becomes two seperate babies. Fraternal twins are formed when the mother's ovaries release two eggs instead of just one and both get fertilized. Fraternal twins often look a lot alike - sometimes almost identical, but they are genetically different. Identical twins share the exact same genes and look alike because they came from one egg. Even in cases where twins are identical, there can still be subtle differences maybe from environmental influences.

identical twins share the same dna, while fraternal twins dont. thats why identical look just alike, while fraternal twins only share a resemblance the same as non-twin siblings.

identical twins are born out of the same egg and have the same DNA. They are always the same sex and look identical. Ferternal twins are two eggs that were fertilized at the same time. they can look similar, but this is just because they have the same parents. They can be diffrent sexs.

Identical twins result when a fertilized egg splits into two separate eggs and then grows into two mature babies who have identical DNA.. . Fraternal twins result when two eggs are fertilized in the mother at the same time. They will be no more similar than any two brothers or sisters.

Identical twins share the same 'sac' so therefore, they ususally look alot alike. Fraternal twins DON'T share the same 'sac' and they usually don't share the same looks as the identical twins do.
