Maybe there was a pressure placed on the nerve in your arms that caused the numb as well as pain and eventually weakness. It's like a straw in your drink, when it's bend you can't sip from it thouroughly, but if it's not bend then the flow of liquid is thourough. This is the same with your arms.

Sounds to me that you might have poor circulation. Might want to ask your doctor to see what is causing you to be numb. Just my little two cents.

You could be having a weakness, or you could be sleeping on your arms at night. To get rid of the weakness doubt, try eating multi-vitamin pills for about a week or so. If the numbness doesn't occur when you take the pills, then you know you have a weakness and have to improve your diet or exercise more.
