Why does STELLA ARTOIS cause more intoxication than other beers of the same percentage?

If it's the same percentage of alcohol, and if you drink the same volume over identical periods of time, you'll be just as drunk either way. SA does tend to have more alcy in it, compared to crap like Carlings, so would get you more pissed than that.

It doesn't. You just think it does. It's the calculated equivalent volume of ethanol that gets you drunk: same volume=same amount of drunk, regardless of whether it's Stella or Pernod or Orangeboom or whatever.... . One possible explanation for you having the perception that Stella gets you drunker is that it's easier to drink, so it slips down a treat and you drink more, more quickly.. . Cheers!
