How will you feed yourself? Who will fight your next war? How will you pay for your gas? You are too weak.

The secession question was settle in th ewar of the 1860s. Not Constitutionally but functionally through the violence of the federal goernment using the Northern States. While in the context of the Founders secession is yet legal (re: Thomas Jefferson and his 1st draft of the Kentucky Resolution), secession will not occur in the Southern States. . . The Sourthern States seceeded to support the true intent of the Founders since the federal government had already left in in the dust.

We didn't fight FOR them or the slaves, it was for the sake of our nation. The south defied the power of our national government and believed they alone could damage our nation. We proved them wrong and in doing so we forged the superpower known as America. By the way, it is too late for the south or any other part of the US to SECEDE (not succeed) it is against the constitution and we'll have the ingrates nuked, diced, and their heads on pikes for daring to defy the great country that is America!

We are a diverse country but we all have different opinions which is our right as a modern industrialized nation. United we stand, divided we fall. And to add, every state in our union has rednecks which isn't a bad thing.

The South is a very important part of our nation, and contrary to what you state, it is not filled up with rednecks (there are some out there for sure, but the South is more racially integrated now than even the north).. . Plus, just because you disagree with the vision of the "red" states -- free markets, freedom from excessive government intervention, a strong national defense, family values, respect for the principles of our founding fathers.. . . Some people might argue that it is the blue states that should secede, because they represent many things that are incompatible with the principles on which this nation was born. However, I disagree with that. Our diversity is our strength, and the fact that we have two sides with different, clearly defined points of view, makes for a healthy debate. Actually, last presidential election we had a real high number of people voting.
