we bring another magnet near the mixture. Since we know that repulsion is the true test for magnetism, the true magnet will be repelled while the iron will be attracted.

really, if to magnets are jioned long enuf' they will both becom magnetic, so you just don't 'no'

a magnet is an iron magnetized :D. If they both have the exact physical and chemical composition, they will react the same way.. At Long term you won´t difference between your magnet and your iron.. At short term the iron won´t have enough "remnant magnetism" you can use another magnet to attract the magnetized poles of the iron.
