i work in retail not wal- mart but another good for nothing slave owning store that i will not mention and there is nothing more annoying than people asking the same question over and over and over again because they can seem to understand that if the sign says 19.99 then thats how much it costs and because they dont beleive you that their are no more size smalls left they unfold everything and leave it in a pile and then say "oh there arent anymore smalls" does not make me a happy person b/c im the one that has to say 2 hours after closing time to fix the mess that the customers have left. and that is why i am rude to people at work.

I don't exactly know why but I know how you feel. Here in Arkansas a.k.a. "wal-mart country" they can get pretty rude sometimes. It could be because the manager keep piling on more things to get done in the same exact amount of time. That would put a burr in my bonnet too.

They're depressed they work for low wages at Wal-mart & don't want to be bothered by customers. Also, there's no incentive or commission: They'll get paid the same salary whether they're helpful or rude. Sad situation...

Your job should not dictate your attitude. I've worked in many different fields, and always deal with difficult people. I (literally) get called a Mother****** every day at my job, and I still maintain a positive attitude. It's this belief that, BECAUSE you work with the public that can sometimes be rude or annoying, it is your right to act disrespectful back to them. That's not how it works. If you're going to work around people, you need to be a people person!
