Why is spelling and grammar poor on Yahoo Answers?

I really wish people would take the time to spell correctly and not use netspeak like 'dis' or 'cuz'. It annoys me to no end.

Because they hurry to write stuff and don't bother to check the spelling lazy.

its not my mother tongue - and spell check doesn't help in all cases...

Probably because people think that yahoo answers are like a texting system and use "u" instead of "you."

I is not knowing of this ansa :D heehee. Because some people don't have English as their first language and because some people are uneducated and some are lazy and some do it sometimes out of cheekiness (I wonder who that might be!?) :P

I agree that the spelling and grammar are horrible here. I have seen the worst. I don't know if there is any solution or if there is a real answer to your question.
