How can I open and save a ringtone that was sent to me as an attachment on my cell phone?

On my phone, I open up the message that contains the ringtone, and go to "options" and then select "save sound". Then the sound will be saved with all your other ringtones and you can choose it as your ringtone. Your phone might be different, but I hope this helps somewhat.

Really depends on what kind of phone you have... but usually there will be an option to "GO-TO" within the message or "SAVE AS" either one will work. Re-ask with you phone model and I can tell you exactly. :)
